Need to Make a Claim? We're Here to Help

Call us without delay to get your claim underway. This will assist with achieving a faster settlement or other appropriate outcome depending on the circumstances and type of claim. Do not authorise repairs without your insurer’s consent and do not make any offers or admissions of liability to other parties.

The sooner a claim is lodged the better as the details of an accident, or other loss, damage or liability will still be fresh in mind and more easily recalled.

Some policies require you to report claims or potential claims before the next policy expiry date, so as soon as you become aware of a claim against you or about something that could lead to a future claim, call us without delay.

Led by our specialist claims manager, we’ll assist you with preparation and lodgement of your claim and oversee the process and progress of your claim and follow it through to settlement. In the unlikely event of any issues with a valid claim, we’ll be your advocate and pursue all available avenues.

Important Claim Information

Do Not Admit Liability

Policy conditions require that you do not admit liability, make any admissions or offers or anything else that might prejudice your or your insurers’ position in any way, do not appoint counsel or incur any costs without your Insurers consent.

Occurrence-based policies provide cover for incidents that happen during the policy period, regardless of when the claim is reported — so even if you discover damage years after the policy expires, you’re still covered as long as the incident occurred while the policy was active, though prompt notification remains important for evidence preservation and efficient claims handling.

Please note, a Claims Made policy will only cover you (subject to all policy terms and conditions) for claims made against you during the period of insurance and notified to the insurer before the policy expiry date.

You must notify your insurer about any claim made against you, or about any inquiry, investigation, audit or formal complaint, or about any fact, matter, incident or circumstance that could  give rise to a future claim as soon as reasonably practicable after such claims or matters become known to you and before the policy expiry date.

If you fail to notify your insurer before the policy expiry date about claims against you or other matters that you know about or in your position would reasonably be expected to know about, a claim made after the policy expiry date will very likely be declined; even if the policy has been renewed with the same insurer.”
